Texas Medical Billing & Coding Salary Information

Being closely tied with the health care and social service industry, medical billing and coding professionals are in the midst of a boom in their field. Statistics from the Texas Economy, a public affairs organization affiliated with the Texas State Comptroller of Public Account’s Office, point out that in 2016 the Education and Health Industry added an additional 42,100 jobs to the Texas economy even after the private education jobs portion of this sector was down 3.2 percent. Within this category, home health care jobs accounted for over half – 21,700 – of those new positions, and grew at a rate of 9.6 percent. The AARP projects the Texas health care industry to expand at least through 2030.
