$500 MEDICAL BILLING CODING WORLD
The future of the medical billing and coding profession lies in the hands of eager young students looking to complete their education. But paying for that education is not always an easy task. We are sympathetic to those high costs here at Medicalbillingcodingworld.com. That has prompted us to establish an annual scholarship for aspiring medical billers and coders, who are looking to complete their education in this area of study. This scholarship is completely merit-based and will be distributed annually to the most deserving applicant.
The scholarship is available to qualified medical billing and coding students currently enrolled in a post-secondary program. This also includes Health Information Technology academic programs. The scholarship award amounts to $500 and is awarded annually. One student per year will receive this scholarship, which is available to those pursuing a diploma, technical certificate, Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Coding or Health Information Technology. We will be accepting applications up until May 1st of each year.
SCHOLARSHIP DUE DATES
Applications must be received by the May 1st deadline of each year. Now that the application deadline for the 2018 award has passed, students can submit an application for 2019.
Medical billing and coding scholarship candidates are required to submit the Medicalbillingcodingworld.com application that must also include an original essay. The essay is required to contain a minimum of 2,000 characters, but must not exceed 6,000 characters. The supplication and essay must be submitted using the above form. Essays should also be formatted properly.
The use of any false information will result in the immediate disqualification of a candidate. Essays that are plagiarized will also result in disqualification. Each essay submission will be run through a plagiarism check. We expect all essays submitted to be the original work of the applicant.
The essays will be evaluated on an applicant’s ability to respond and elaborate thoughtfully and clearly on the specific question. For the most optimal results, pertinent insight should be supported by facts and relevant information.
Each application will be reviewed by our scholarship committee. Candidates will be judged on the standing of their academic record, healthcare experience, extracurricular activities, and the strength of their original essay.
